AUXILIARY DRIERS

  • Aurums Lead Drier
    It is different type of drier which still the most important of the auxiliary driers. Lead is mainly applied in combination with active driers and due to its polymerization effect. Lead ensures a throughly hardened firm. It is pale straw to water white in color.

  • Aurums Zinc Derier
    It is used in combination to acive driers to produce a hard film. Zinc keeps the film open there by allowing oxygen easy access, which ensures hardening through out the paint film. It is also a very good wetting agent. The gloss of the film is also often improved and it has an added property of counteracting mildew formation in paints. it is water white in color.

  • Aurums Calcium Drier
    It forms a metal complex with other metal soaps. Calcium prevents haze formation in certain alkyd resins that are reached with lead. Excessive doses however should be avoided in connection with the water sensivity of the paint film. It is pale yellow to water white in color.

  • Aurums Zirconium driers
    It is an excellent substitute for Lead in Lead-free paints. It strongly activates primary driers and is perticularly recomendaded for eliminating tacking of certain talloil alkyd resins. It is water white in color.

  • Aurums Barium Driers
    This drier is also used as a substitute for Lead in Lead free paints Barium improves the drying of a coating and has good pigment and wetting properties. It is pale yellow in color.

  • Aurums Copper Soap
    Copper is sufficient to supress wrinkeling of finishes containing cobalt driers. espacially during baking. The Naphthenate is for the preparation of solutions for preserving wood. canvas etc.

  • Aurums Alluminium Soap
    It is an excellent gelling agent for hydrocarbon solvent and oils.

  • Aurums Lead Soap in Lubre Oil
    It is especially used in grease and lubricants

  • Aurumns Cobalt Soap as Accelerator
    It is used as an accelerator for unsaturated polyester along with the polymerization catalyst Methyl Ethyl Ketone peroxide.

Application Percentage

The percentages are calculated as metal on the total quantity of vehicle (solid matter). these percentage are however very dependent upon the type of vehicle
